MUGI: Mini Unattended Ground Imager

The MUGI--Mini Unattended Ground Imaging sensor is a rugged stand-alone fully contained system that transmits day/IR night images to an Operations Center.  The MUGI is an entirely operational system built to supply the ground forces with real-time persistent covert surveillance.  The MUGI can remain in the area of interest for months (on one battery charge), performing intelligence gathering 24/7 from a concealed location.   The system also provides area scanning with no external movement.  The daylight camera utilizes a 12x zoom which provides a visual range of over 2.5km on a moving person size target and a thermal imager for detection of a moving target at 1.2km.  The MUGI was specially designed to be camouflaged for quick employment of the system in special operations environments.   It is perfect for deployed operations because it is ideal in providing route, dead zone and other critical areas of key terrain coverage where the system needs to remain disguised.  Or if stealth is not a factor, it can be positioned in plain sight as a force multiplier for aircraft security or any other mission that needs be easily deployed and work independently, supplying the operator with full video motion detection of remote and hidden areas of interest.  The MUGI can also be connected to other, small, UGS (Unattended Ground Sensors) creating a net of concealed sensors for missions such as breach sealing or gap filling in the border control or force protection.
